EVENT Editor won't open ! [RESOLVED]

Post by Safet »

The EVENT Editor does not open with a SET. What is the reason? How can I find and eliminate the 'problem point'? It also does not work when I insert the individual Styles into a 'working set.' Its Styles open in the EVENT Editor, but these do not?! It cannot be that the entire set is 'corrupted,' right? How can it be fixed?

Hi,

Do you see any error when you select the Event Editor?

Or is it that you have 'USE ORIGINAL SOUNDS' disabled, that's why you can't access the Event Editor ?

There is no error message.
Where can I turn off 'USE ORIGINAL SOUNDS'?

When you enter inside the STYLE Properties. At the bottom there is a checkbox. Use original style sounds.

"Oh, thank you. Such an oversight. The program is so intuitive and self-explanatory, but there you go, staring at the screen, you sometimes 'don't see' things. Sorry for the silly question, and thanks once again....

Slowly, the pieces are falling into place. One definitely needs to invest time and get acquainted with all the functions. The program is really powerful and a great help.

"This doesn't mean I won't 'bother' you again a few more times. :-)

Thank you very much.

Thank you in advance for your help and patience.
I have two "related" questions.
1.
In several different drum sets, I have the same sample (or several of them)
but with different titles and positions. What is the most efficient and fastest
way to merge these duplicates and thus save memory and sample slots?

2.
A similar problem exists with sounds.
Is there a "ReMap" function that would allow me to select one out of two similar tones,
store it in one place, and have it automatically recognized in every Style?

Best regards

Hi,

1.
It would be quite rare to have any duplicate samples really. Even though, you many see them as duplicate samples, they're really individuals with differences.
But, if your SET wasn't made with PA Manager, then best way would be to create a NEW EMPTY SET and start copying things in to there. That way the PA Manager would pickup and ignore any duplicates and would automatically remap any existing ones from the SET.

2.
Same applies with Sounds, but there is a GLOBAL REMAP option, if you want to manage it yourself.
